F*** your nationality, West Berlin, West Germany, 1986
The meaning of this image was debated on Facebook. It's not about any one nation shaming any other. When this graffiti was written, the Berlin Wall was one of the biggest symbols of what was wrong with the world. We lived in Germany at the time. The Wall came down just 3 years later, in 1989, much to the world's relief. The image is all about shaming the building of artificial walls which deny people's freedom.
