Our Giving Tree
16 years ago, when we moved into Woodlands, we were advised to chop down this tree, as it was dying. We did not, and instead called it our Giving Tree, based on Shel Silverstein's beautiful story. The tree flourished. Today, we leave Woodlands for the last time, and we move on. Thank you, our Giving Tree, for looking after us so well. June 15, 2017. Leica Q
The Giving Tree Blossom
I have posted about our 'Giving Tree' before - apologies to Shel Silverstein. For anyone that missed our version of the story, we were advised to chop down a 'dead' tree 16 years ago, when we moved here. We didn't. Today, the tree is diminished but it not only survives, it prospers. Nature can teach us many lessons. Olympus OM-D E-M10, M.Zuiko 17mm F/1.8

The tree was deemed "dead" when we moved here, 14 years ago. It is still going strong, on this frosty December morning. Shel Silverstein's "The Giving Tree". Frosty Sunday morning
